SpaceX Aborts Starship Launch After Multiple Engines Fail to Ignite


SpaceX has delayed its latest Starship test flight after the launch countdown reached zero, as a few engines on the Super Heavy booster did not ignite.

The rocket's built-in safety system detected the issue and automatically stopped the launch before liftoff.

According to SpaceX, four of the 33 Raptor engines failed to start during the ignition sequence.

Since the rocket did not meet the required launch conditions, the system safely aborted the mission.

This also marks the first time a fully assembled Starship reached the engine ignition stage before being stopped on the launch pad.

Elon Musk later confirmed that two Raptor engines will be replaced before the next launch attempt.

The company plans to make another attempt within the next few days after completing the required inspections.

This mission is an important step for SpaceX, as Starship is expected to deploy 20 Starlink satellites for the first time while testing several new upgrades.

Even though the launch was postponed, the rocket, launch pad, and ground systems remained safe, allowing engineers to fix the problem before the next flight.
