Most SaaS launch posts follow the same pattern:
- Here is what I built
- Here is who it is for
- Here is the link
- Please try it
There is nothing wrong with that. It is direct, and sometimes direct works.
But as a founder, I kept thinking: what if discovery felt less like submitting another listing and more like earning a spot on a small scoreboard?
That is the idea behind BuilderBench.
BuilderBench is a free little benchmark game for SaaS founders and builders. You play eight quick events, get one all-round score, and the current top five scores can show their SaaS link on the leaderboard.
The events are:
- Reaction Time
- Sequence Memory
- Aim Trainer
- Number Memory
- Verbal Memory
- Chimp Test
- Visual Memory
- Typing
It is not meant to be a serious IQ test. It is more like a builder arcade.
Can you stay accurate under pressure? Can you remember enough of a sequence? Can you type cleanly? Can you keep control when the score is on the line?
Then your SaaS gets attached to the result if you make the top five.
The fun part is that it changes the shape of promotion a bit.
Instead of:
"I launched, please look at my product."
It becomes:
"I put my product on the board. Can you beat me?"
That is a much better kind of founder challenge.
I like this format because it gives builders a reason to interact before they care about the product. A landing page asks for attention. A game earns a little attention first.
And because the leaderboard is tied to SaaS links, the product mention is not random. It is part of the score.
If you are building something and want a small break from writing launch copy, try to put your SaaS on the board:

Eight events. One all-round score. Top-five SaaS links.
Curious what score other founders here can get.
