Foxconn aims to capture half of the global AI equipment market

Foxconn targets 50% of the global AI server market within two years, building on a current 40% share with production capacity fully booked for 18 months.

Chairman Young Liu outlined scaling plans and infrastructure revenue projections during a recent interview.

Foxconn already controls about 40% of this market, according to company chief Young Liu. The goal is to reach about 45% next year and 50% within two years. Demand remains huge, resulting in the company's production lines being completely shut down for at least the next 18 months.

New revenue and expansion in the United States

The company estimates that AI will account for 60% to 65% of its total revenue within three to five years. For now, most orders come from companies developing AI technologies and from Internet computing service providers, as government agencies and traditional businesses have yet to make mass adoption.

As part of its plans, Foxconn intends to strengthen its presence in the United States, taking on more of the manufacturing stages of materials. Due to higher operating costs in the country, the company plans to initially focus on products that offer higher profit, such as specialized system bases and equipment for large computer rooms. The company's current investments for these purposes range between $3 billion and $5 billion annually.
