Startup Physicl has raised $10 million in seed funding led by Inovia Capital to help robot builders tackle complex training edge cases with realistic 3D simulations.
Alongside the funding, the company is launching Studio, featuring 10,000 3D environments and 100,000 assets designed to improve simulation fidelity for world models.
The company's founder and CEO, Alex de Vigan, had dedicated the previous ten years to creating nfinite, a company that created 3D product models for online stores.
The solution for difficult situations
Physicl focuses on training systems in rare and difficult situations that make it difficult for robots to perform in practice. The company is releasing a product called Studio, which includes 10.000 3D environments and 100.000 objects for creating scenes.
The company’s first customers include SpAitial, which has partnered with Physicl to improve the accuracy of its own simulation products, such as Echo-3. SpAitial CEO Matthias Niessner noted that the ability to produce real-time data as training progresses stood out.
