System76 has previewed its new Thelio Prime, an 11-liter small-form-factor Linux desktop.

The machine supports AMD Ryzen 9000 series processors and discrete GPU configurations from both AMD and NVIDIA.

With up to 96GB of DDR5 RAM and dual M.2 storage slots (including PCIe Gen5), it aims to offer significant performance in a compact, tool-free accessible chassis.

Pre-registration for the November 18 launch is now open, with prices starting at $1,599.

Users can choose between Pop!_OS with the COSMIC desktop or Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.

Its case has a capacity of 11 liters and dimensions of 288 × 148,9 × 281,9 mm. The computer supports AMD Ryzen 9000 series processors, integrated AMD Radeon graphics, as well as discrete AMD or NVIDIA RTX graphics cards. It can be equipped with up to 96 GB of RAM and up to 8 TB of storage.

For cooling, it has two separate air paths: one for the processor and one for the graphics card. It is powered by a 600 watt power supply.

The chassis is made of 1,5mm thick aluminum and has a dark glass front. The side panels are held in place with magnets and can be removed without tools. The computer can be placed vertically or horizontally, while its magnetic feet move depending on the position.
