Sennheiser's Momentum True Wireless 5 launch brings user-replaceable batteries to both the earbuds and charging case, paired with Bluetooth 6.0, aptX Lossless, and a slim hardware design.
The headphones cost $299,95, have a slimmer design compared to the previous generation, and come in five colors: Graphite, Cream, Copper, Denim, and Lavender. They also have an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.
The package includes a special tool for opening the headphones, although a separate screwdriver is required for the case. The battery offers up to 12 hours of operation with noise reduction disabled, while with the function active the autonomy drops to 6 hours. Together with the case, the total autonomy reaches 40 hours. Charging can be done either wired via USB-C port or wirelessly with Qi technology.
The headphones support modern wireless standards such as Bluetooth 6.0 and Bluetooth Multipoint, as well as high-fidelity codecs such as aptX Lossless, aptX Adaptive, AAC and SBC. They feature an upgraded autonomous noise reduction system and transparency mode, while connecting to the Sennheiser Smart Control Plus app for iOS and Android devices.
