Think that PHP was dying is the biggest mistake ever. While people bullshit these words on web, PHP was growing and getting better, faster then ever.

I think most of the people that said PHP was dying stop using it on version 4/4.1.

Nowdays that we can use Laravel + React I think that PHP will last longer for the saddness of somes.

Old story, there is no better language but there is the appropriate language for the project.

I would never work with PHP to process data because I know python is better and faster or for generating reports from a large database.

IMO, one of the main reasons PHP is less appealing than other languages is its weak marketing strategy. The php.net website has an old-fashioned look. Also, it is not even linking the excellent frameworks (Laravel, Symfony) available for PHP.
