Why I Chose upGrad Over Coding Ninjas and DeepLearning.AI

When I was picking an AI course, I looked at three very different options and here's why upGrad won out for me.

upGrad (AI & ML with IIIT-Bangalore)
This is university-backed, so the certificate carries real weight in India. It covers ML, deep learning, NLP, and Generative AI over ~12 months, mostly recorded with some live sessions. What sold me was the placement push they claim ~95% placement and lifetime career support. I wanted the recognizable university brand plus hand-holding through placements, not just content.

Coding Ninjas (Machine Learning / AI tracks)
I considered this too it's backed by InfoEdge (Naukri.com),feels more like a coding bootcamp than a degree program. It does offer mentorship, AI doubt solving assistant, but the placement support is conditional and carries comparatively less prestige, something not what I was after.

DeepLearning.AI (Andrew Ng's platform, via Coursera)
This is pure specialist AI content, not a university or bootcamp rigorous and highly respected among self-learners. But it's fully self-paced with zero placement support. I didn't want to be fully on my own for career outcomes.

Why upGrad made sense for me
I wasn't just looking for AI knowledge, I wanted a credible brand name, structured pacing, and real accountability toward getting placed. Before I could come to a conclusion, I decided to talk to a who completed a course through upGrad. Honestly, word of mouth does matter, this one conversation gave me a lot of affirmation. Coding Ninjas was tempting on the cost front but upGrad was the only one that combined everything for me: university credibility, structured career support, a clear placement pathway and good reviews. That's the trade-off I was willing to make.
