๐ก Personal Series: Hizba's Thoughts & Reflections
This post is my submission for the โโ๐ตโฌ๐ (โฟโ โฟโ )โญ and her thoughts.
(ใฃโโกโ)ใฃ ๐ ๐ธ "Your light doesn't shrink anyone else's sun; it just reminds them how to warm up."
We need to talk about a silent, heavy tax that high-achieving creators pay every single day: The Guilt of Growing Up. ๐ธ๐ฅ
Have you ever finished a project, hit a milestone, or solved a complex bug, and felt that sudden rush of pure dopamineโfollowed immediately by a cold wave of absolute dread? ๐ง๐
โIf I post this, will people think Iโm arrogant?โ
โWhat if my friends think Iโm flexing?โ
โIs everyone around me going to think Iโve changed?โ
So, what do we do? We downplay it. We sugarcoat it. Or worseโwe stay completely silent, suffocating our own progress just to keep everyone else's comfort zone intact. ๐ค๐ฆ
๐ช The Trap of the Two-Way Lose
Many of us grow up in spaces where emotions are heavily guarded, hidden away like family heirlooms no one is allowed to touch. Because of this, we develop a hyper-awareness of other people's unspoken judgments.
We trap ourselves in a toxic mental matrix:
- If you share your win: You feel like an egotistical monster, terrified that people are rolling their eyes behind your back. ๐๐
- If you stay quiet: You feel like an imposter, watching others doubt your capabilities while you secretly drown in the pressure to "prove yourself" all over again. ๐๐ชจ
Itโs a lose-lose game. But here is the radical truth shift that changes everything: Your success is not a weapon aimed at others; it is a mirror reflecting what is possible. ๐ชโจ
๐ Flipping the Narrative: From "Flexing" to "Open-Source Mapping"
When you share an accomplishment, you arenโt saying, "Look how much better I am than you." โ
You are actually leaving open-source breadcrumbs in a very dark forest for someone else who is sitting at 2 AM, crying over a screen, wondering if they are smart enough to make it. ๐ก๐ฃ
When people pull away or act distant when you succeed, that is a reflection of their own unhealed mirrorsโnot your character. ๐ When someone feels small next to your growth, itโs usually because your shine is accidentally illuminating their own unexercised potential. That is not your backpack to carry. ๐โ
โจ How to Break the Cycle
Stop treating your milestones like a crime scene. ๐ From today onward:
- Build out loud. ๐ ๏ธ Your wins give permission for others to breathe a sigh of relief and say, "Hey, if they figured it out, maybe I can too." ๐ฑ
- Redefine community. ๐ True community doesn't demand that you dim your frequency to match their static. They celebrate your loud victories because they know a rising tide lifts all boats. โต๐
Keep building. Keep posting. Unapologetically. ๐ Because the world doesn't need more quiet people hiding their sparkโit needs more beacons showing others how to glow. ๐ฎ๐

โจ The real plot twist:
(ใฃโโกโ)ใฃ ๐ ๐ธ "Your success was never a spotlight blinding others; itโs just a lantern showing them the trail exists."
We spend so much energy worrying if our wins will look like an ego trip, forgetting that someone else is sitting in the dark, scrolling at 2 AM, wondering if their effort is even worth it. ๐ก๐
When you share your progress out loud, you arenโt flexingโyou are leaving open-source proof that the impossible is actually doable. ๐ฑ๐ Stop hiding your spark. The world needs more beacons, not more shadows! ๐ฎโจ
