I Built a Horror Game News Website While Learning Vibe Coding

Hi everyone 👋

I’ve always enjoyed playing games, especially horror games. There’s something really exciting about the atmosphere, suspense, strange stories, and unexpected scares that makes the genre feel unique.

Recently, I’ve also been learning more about vibe coding — building projects by following ideas, experimenting quickly, and letting the product grow through iteration. Instead of waiting until everything is perfect, I wanted to actually build something and learn along the way.

So I created a website focused on sharing horror game news and updates:

👉 HorrorWire

What is HorrorWire?

HorrorWire is a website for people who are interested in horror games. The goal is to share information such as:

  • Horror game introduction
  • Horror character introduction
  • Latest updates about game
  • Game guides

I wanted the site to feel simple and easy to browse, so visitors can quickly find horror-related gaming updates without too much distraction.

Why I Built It

There were two main reasons:

I love horror games

I enjoy discovering new horror titles, especially indie horror games. Many great horror games come from small teams or solo developers, and I think they deserve more attention.

Building a website around this topic felt like a fun way to combine my personal interest with a real project.

I’m learning vibe coding

For me, vibe coding is a very hands-on way to learn. Instead of only reading tutorials or watching videos, I try to build something real, improve it step by step, and learn from the process.

This project helped me practice:

  • Turning an idea into a real website
  • Thinking about content structure
  • Improving UI and user experience
  • Building faster through iteration
  • Learning by actually shipping something

It’s still an ongoing project, but that’s part of the fun.

What I Learned

One thing I learned is that starting is often more important than planning forever.

At the beginning, the project was just a simple idea:

“What if I made a website for horror game news?”

But once I started building, more ideas came naturally. I began thinking about layout, categories, article formats, SEO, user experience, and how to make the website more useful for horror game fans.

I also realized that a project doesn’t need to be perfect before sharing it. Getting it online is already a big step.

What’s Next?

I plan to keep improving HorrorWire over time. Some things I may work on include:

  • Adding more horror game news and articles
  • Improving the design
  • Making navigation better
  • Covering more indie horror games
  • Adding more useful features for readers

If you’re into horror games, feel free to check it out:

I’d be happy to hear any feedback, suggestions, or ideas.

Thanks for reading!
