Every year, thousands of engineers in India accept job offers based on CTC alone.
I did the same.

And later realized:

That experience pushed me to build OfferCheck — a simple AI-powered job offer analyzer focused on the Indian job market.

The Problem: CTC Is Misleading
In India, job offers are confusing because:

Variable pay inflates numbers

Cost of living varies massively by city
Market benchmarks are rarely transparent

Most people ask:

Tech Stack (Simple & Practical)

I intentionally kept the stack lean:

Frontend: React
Backend: Serverless API
AI: OpenAI (prompted for structured analysis)
SEO: Static content + calculators
Security: Rate limiting, server-side AI calls No fancy architecture — just solving a real problem.

What AI Actually Does Here
AI is not guessing salaries.
It helps:
Explain trade-offs clearly
Combine numbers + context
Summarize decisions in plain English

Think of it as:
“A rational friend who understands salary math and the Indian job market.”

What I Learned Building This
1️⃣ Distribution Is Harder Than Building

Code was easy. Getting users is not.

2️⃣ SEO Takes Time

Even with good content, Google trust doesn’t come overnight.

3️⃣ Simple Tools > Fancy Dashboards

People just want a clear answer.
