What if your GitHub profile looked less like a developer résumé and more like a character screen from Dark Souls?
That was the idea behind my latest GitHub profile redesign.
As someone who enjoys dark fantasy and Soulsborne games, I wanted to build something that felt like an RPG interface while still showing my actual development experience.
🔥 Bonfire Lit
Instead of a traditional profile README, I created a dark fantasy experience featuring:
⚔️ Custom SVG banners and fantasy-inspired headings
🛡️ An RPG-style character HUD for my technical skills
🔥 Bonfire-inspired visuals and animations
🐍 An animated GitHub contribution snake
📊 GitHub statistics, language charts, and activity graphs
✨ Animated typing effects and custom badges
🌑 A dark charcoal and antique gold color palette
The result combines GitHub, programming, and the atmosphere of Dark Souls and Elden Ring.

🛠️ How I Built It
The profile uses a combination of Markdown, HTML, SVG assets, and GitHub-compatible widgets.
Custom SVG graphics establish the visual identity, while dynamic statistics and contribution visualizations keep the page interesting.
I also wanted the design to reflect my actual interests: backend engineering, Linux, automation, Docker, Python, TypeScript, and systems programming.
It's not just decoration. It's a developer profile presented as a fantasy character sheet.
⚔️ Explore the Source
The entire README and its assets are available in my public GitHub repository.

Feel free to explore the code and use it as inspiration for your own profile.
If you like the design, consider leaving a ⭐ on the repository. It helps other developers discover it!
💬 What Do You Think?
Would you use an RPG-inspired GitHub profile, or do you prefer a minimalist design?
And if you could theme your GitHub profile around any game, which would you choose?
