This is actually expected behavior, we just never really talked about it and it sort of got swept. I think that bookmarks should be private and that's why it's coded as such, but yeah, never went as far as making that very clear, even within the team.
I like the idea that bookmarks should be private but they aren't. I can't see what you recently bookmarked by viewing your profile
