I’m currently in the process of building a new resume platform. As a developer, I’ve always found existing tools to be "clunky" or "too focused on templates over content".
I want to build something that actually solves the headaches we face, but I need your input to make sure I'm solving the right problems.
The Big Question
Some things I'm curious about:
- Parsing issues: Do you hate how builders mess up your formatting when importing a LinkedIn PDF?
- Customization: Is it too hard to add custom sections (like Open Source or specific tech stacks)?
- The "Paywall" Surprise: How do you feel about building a whole resume only to be asked for $20 to download it?
I’d love to hear your "horror stories" or the specific features you wish existed.
Let’s talk!
I’ll be hanging out in the comments to hear your thoughts and answer questions about what I'm building.
Quick Vote: What's the #1 offender?
❤️ - Hidden Paywalls
🦄 - Bad Export/PDF Formatting
🤯 - Limited Customization
🙌 - Poor ATS Optimization
or anything else? Maybe I can solve. Trust me 🙂↕️👀

For me, the biggest pain is the 'hidden paywall.' Spending 30 minutes entering data only to find out the download isn't free is the worst DX. Does that rank high for you all, or is there something more annoying?
