I used to plan content in Notion, draft scripts in Google Docs, write captions in a separate tab, and schedule posts in Buffer. Four tools. Three subscriptions. Twelve hours a week.
Eleven days ago I deleted all four.
What replaced them was a single stack of 60+ AI prompts — written once, reused forever — that handles scripts, captions, thumbnails, repurposing, and audience growth. No SaaS. No Notion template. No monthly fee.
This post is the workflow, the prompts, and the exact cost math.
The math first
Before:
- Notion: $10/mo
- Buffer: $5/mo
- ChatGPT Plus (for drafting): $20/mo
- Headline analyzer: $12/mo one-time last year
- Total recurring: $35/mo, plus ~12 hrs/week of context switching
After:
- Free Notion or no Notion at all
- No scheduler (I post manually from a daily email digest)
- ChatGPT free, Claude free, or Gemini free
- Total recurring: $0/mo, ~3 hrs/week
That's $420/year saved and 9 hours/week reclaimed. The prompts paid for themselves the first week.
The workflow
Every weekday, I run the same 4-step loop. Total time: 25-40 minutes. Output: 1 long-form piece (YouTube script or LinkedIn post) + 5 short-form pieces (TikTok / Reels / Shorts) + 1 email to my list + 10 repurposed tweets.
Step 1 — Pick the topic (3 min)
I run a "topic discovery" prompt against my niche + last week's analytics. Output is a ranked list of 7 angles ranked by predicted retention.
Step 2 — Draft the long-form (12-15 min)
I run a "long-form script" prompt with the chosen angle as input. Output is a 1,500-2,500 word script with hook, body beats, CTA, and B-roll cues. I edit 5%, never rewrite.
Step 3 — Atomize into short-form (8-10 min)
I run an "atomizer" prompt that takes the long-form script and produces:
- 3 TikTok scripts (30-60s each)
- 1 Instagram carousel outline (7 slides)
- 2 LinkedIn posts (one long, one thread)
- 1 Twitter/X thread (5-7 tweets)
- 1 YouTube Shorts script
Step 4 — Schedule + ship (5-10 min)
I paste the day's outputs into a single Notion database row. Browser bookmark opens each platform. Manual post. No scheduler needed — the manual 30 seconds per platform forces me to read what I'm posting.
The 6 categories of prompts that run this
I organize all 60+ prompts into 6 buckets. Every prompt is copy-paste ready with a single {placeholder} for your niche:
- Topic discovery — "Give me 7 angles for {niche} this week ranked by predicted 7-day retention"
- Long-form script — "Write a 1,800 word script for {angle}, {platform}, audience: {who}, tone: {voice}"
- Atomizer — "Turn this long-form into 3 short-form variants + 1 carousel + 1 thread"
- Caption writer — "Write 5 caption variants for {platform}, hook-first, under 150 chars"
- Thumbnail concept — "Describe 3 thumbnail compositions for {title} that pass the 3-second test"
- Repurposer — "Take this YouTube transcript and produce 1 LinkedIn post + 5 tweets"
Total prompts: 60+ across these 6 categories, plus 5 thumbnail design templates as a bonus.
What it doesn't do (be honest)
This stack does NOT:
- Auto-post for you (you still paste + click)
- Auto-generate images (you bring your own visuals or use a separate image AI)
- Replace your taste or editorial judgment
- Work well if you don't already know your niche (the prompts assume you do)
If you're a complete beginner who doesn't know what to make content about, this pack won't help. Start with niche discovery first, then come back.
