One byte explainer GAMES : Sprites

This is a submission for the Web Game Challenge: One Byte Explainer

Explainer

Sprites are reusable images in a 2D game, they can move across the playing field, over the background. Sprites can represent the player, effects, enemies or obstacles the player interacts with on screen. They gave 8-bit games their classic look and feel.

Additional Context

The name "Sprite" came from the fact that they float of the on screen background like a ghost floats.
