I spent 2 hours manually checking Dev.to, IH, and GitHub for mentions of my product. There has to be a better way.

I launched a small dev tool recently. My entire distribution strategy is:

  • Reply to relevant threads fast
  • Show up where people are already asking questions

The problem? I have to manually check Dev.to, Indie Hackers, and GitHub Discussions every single day. By the time I find a relevant thread, it's already 2 days old and buried.

F5Bot solves this for Reddit. Nothing solves it for Dev.to, IH, and GitHub.

So I'm building it.

Simple concept:

  • Enter your product name + keywords
  • Get alerted when someone mentions it on Dev.to, IH, or GitHub Discussions
  • Reply fast, while the thread is still warm

$9/month. No dashboards. No fluff.

Quick question for fellow indie devs: do you manually check these platforms for mentions? Would this save you real time?

Honest yes/no appreciated — I'm validating before building.

$9/month? - No. If you’re going to do something, make it open‑source.

You are allowed to charge for your work but $9/month seems a bit much for this.
