Why 'Vibe Coding' and Terminal Aesthetics are Essential for Network Engineering Students in 2026

Hey everyone! I’m Kaveesha Kalhara Wedagedara, a 20-year-old student studying for my NVQ Level 4 in Computer Hardware and Network Technology at the Vocational Training Authority (VTA) in Kurunegala, Sri Lanka.

A lot of traditional instructors tell students that spending time customizing terminal colors, picking custom fonts, and setting up aesthetic neon layouts is a waste of time. But as an AI-driven network technician and openly gay tech student, I disagree! Having a beautifully configured environment actually improves focus when testing shell scripts and managing router configurations.

I’ve documented my full NVQ Level 4 setup, cable management guides, and AI workflow scripts on my GitHub profile: kaveesha-kalhara-wedagedara.

What do you think? Does having a clean, aesthetic terminal workflow make you more productive when debugging network scripts?
