I'm a CS student and solo developer, and I just launched something I've been quietly building for over a year: TravelTipsGo (traveltipsgo.com).
The idea is simple — plan your trip on the site, then make it public so other travelers can find and use it. Real itineraries from real people, not AI-generated fluff.
The feature I'm most proud of: hidden events. You can add secret spots to your public trip that strangers can't see — but when you share the trip directly with someone you trust, those hidden locations become visible. Great for keeping your favorite hidden gems actually hidden.
A few other things worth mentioning:
No tracking cookies. No ad networks. Ads are contextual and self-served — based on what trip you're viewing, not who you are.
The only third-party cookie on the entire site is MapTiler for maps.
Trips can be public or private — you're in full control.
I built every line of this myself, so it's still growing. I'd genuinely love feedback from real travelers — what would make a platform like this actually useful for how you plan trips?
Thanks for checking it out. 🙏
