I want to tell about one thing that struggle me every time when I need to do it. It is preparing presentation. In general, I prepare presentation in PowerPoint, once I tried to do it with slick_slides by Viktor Lidholt.
How place images with different size, how choose font, what colors use, how place code, how highlight it, all of this are distracted me because looked wired and strange. Another moment is every slide looks different, also if contains same structure components. Last moment, every presentation looks different, because last doesn't impress me and I try to do new. I know that very important to do one good template and use it.
Another question is correct balance of information, because it is very simple to make you slide bored. Preparing a presentation looks very simple, just combine material. In reality, it is more complex and important work, and it requires more efforts, because we don't make presentation very often and don't have many practices.
What are your thoughts about this? Do you straggle with this like me? What tricks are you using during preparing presentation? I will be glad of any insights.

Content is king. I always start with no formatting at all or with a text editor, just to keep focus on the message. I can apply the template later. If you are unsure about the balance on any level (whole presentation, section, single slide), the "rule of three" is a good default. The pictures, memes, and jokes come last, like sugar on top.
Thanks for the link. I heard about this rule before, but I didn't use it for work process. It is a good time to try something new. Now I more think about template, good template that satisfy me.
