Hi, I’m Tshabalala Kissmart, a full stack developer and founder of Kaymores Marketing Agency. Over the past few years, I’ve been passionate about creating tech solutions that make a real difference in people’s lives — from smart apps that enhance safety to digital tools that empower communities.

In this first post, I want to share my journey, my approach to building impactful apps, and some tips for aspiring developers who want to combine coding skills with social impact.

My Tech Journey

I started learning software engineering at ALX Africa and later completed Full Stack Development at FNB Academy, which gave me the skills to build real-world applications. I’ve also gained expertise in web development, AI integration, cloud solutions, and cybersecurity, allowing me to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Some projects I’m proud of:

  1. Smart TV Tracking App – Tracks devices 24/7, alerts owners when devices are moved, and prevents theft.
  2. Safety App for SAPS – Enables anonymous crime reporting, real-time case tracking, and emergency alerts for communities.
  3. Random Quote Generator – A fun web project to practice API integration and frontend design.

Lessons Learned & Tips

  1. Start Small, Build Real Projects – Don’t just learn theory; apply it immediately in small projects.
  2. Focus on Impact – Think about how your apps or code can solve real problems, not just technical challenges.
  3. Keep Learning Continuously – Tech is fast-changing; stay updated with new tools and frameworks.
  4. Share Your Knowledge – Blogging or mentoring others not only helps the community but strengthens your own skills.

Looking Ahead
