A few weeks ago, I announced HYNA-Stage: a tool to deploy isolated Firecracker MicroVMs in 5 seconds.
Today, I am thrilled to announce v2.2.0: "Forge & Verify", which transforms HYNA-Stage from a simple CLI tool into a complete developer ecosystem.
And the craziest part? I built, deployed, and tested this entire distributed architecture on a $150 Android phone using Termux.
Here is what’s new, and the insane hurdles I had to overcome to make it work on mobile.
⚡ THE NEW FEATURES
1. FORGE (Instant Scaffolding)
No more npm init or manual setup. Run hyna-stage init <template> (Node, Python, Java, or HTML), and the CLI instantly provisions a pre-configured, production-ready environment inside the E2B MicroVM.
2. VERIFY (The Magic Badge & Test Panel)
I built a custom Cloudflare Worker proxy that intercepts the live preview HTML and injects a sleek, glassmorphic "HYNAWEB" badge into the bottom-right corner. Click it, and a side panel slides out. Hit "Run Tests", and it executes npm test or pytest directly inside the sandbox, streaming the results back to your browser in real-time.
3. THE HYNAWEB MARKETPLACE & DEV ACCOUNTS
We now have a centralized hub: hyna-stagetemp.netlify.app/marketplace.
- For Users: Browse and instantly deploy community-vetted starter templates.
- For Creators: Apply for a "Dev Account". Once approved (via a secure 48-hour asynchronous review process), you can submit your own custom templates to the marketplace, complete with your own setup, start, and test commands.
🛠️ THE MOBILE DEVELOPMENT HURDLES (And How I Solved Them)
Building enterprise-grade DX on a phone is not easy. Here are the walls I hit and how I broke through them:
-
The Supabase
text/htmlBlock: Supabase Edge Functions on the free tier aggressively rewritetext/htmltotext/plain, breaking my UI injection.-
The Fix: I migrated the entire proxy layer to Cloudflare Workers, which allows arbitrary
Content-Typeheaders and acts as a flawless reverse proxy.

-
The Deno Deploy Suspension: Deno Deploy’s automated systems flagged my account for acting as a reverse proxy and suspended it.
- The Fix: Cloudflare Workers became the permanent, robust home for the edge routing.
-
The Jest
EADDRINUSECrash: Running tests would crash because the template'sserver.jstried to bind to port 3000 during the test import.-
The Fix: I patched the Node.js templates to wrap
app.listen()inif (require.main === module), preventing port binding during test execution.

The Termux
Unsupported PlatformError: The Supabase CLI flat-out refuses to run on Android.-
The Fix: I bypassed the CLI entirely. I patched
process.platformin my scripts and deployed the Edge Functions using rawcurl -Fmultipart API requests directly to the Supabase Management API.

🧠 THE FOUNDER TAKEAWAY
We are told that building complex, multi-service cloud infrastructure with a marketplace requires a $3,000 MacBook, Docker Desktop, and a team of DevOps engineers.
I have none of those things.
I have a $150 phone, a terminal, and a refusal to accept "it can't be done." Constraints don't limit innovation; they force you to understand the system at a deeper level. When you can't rely on bloated GUI tools, you learn how the HTTP protocol, process management, and API gateways actually work.
HYNA-Stage v2.2.0 is live. The CLI is updated. The Marketplace is open. And yes, it works perfectly from Termux.

Try it yourself:
npm install -g @hynaweb/stage
hyna-stage init node
