Regular expressions are one of those topics many engineers avoid at first because they look intimidating. But once you understand the basics, regex becomes a powerful everyday tool for DevOps and backend work.
In todayβs session, we focused on practical regex usage in Python, not theory. We covered real-world examples like matching phone numbers, email addresses, URLs, and IP addresses, and how regex helps simplify validation, parsing, and text processing tasks you deal with daily.
Regex is less about memorizing symbols and more about thinking in patterns. With enough practice, it starts to feel natural.
