How I Built My First Website Using AI (Without Being an Expert)

A few months ago, I was doing what many beginner developers do.

Watching tutorials.

Saving resources.

Bookmarking articles.

And convincing myself that I needed to learn "just one more thing" before starting a project.

The result?

I wasn't building anything.

The Problem

Every time I wanted to create a website, I felt overwhelmed.

There were too many choices:

• React or Next.js?
• Tailwind or CSS?
• Which AI tool should I use?
• Where do I even start?

Instead of building, I kept learning.

And instead of making progress, I kept consuming content.

Discovering AI as a Learning Partner

Everything changed when I stopped treating AI as a shortcut and started using it as a learning partner.

I began using:

• ChatGPT for explanations and brainstorming
• Cursor for coding assistance
• Vercel for deployment

AI didn't build the project for me.

But it helped me move faster whenever I got stuck.

What I Built

My first goal wasn't to build the next startup.

It was simply to create a website and publish it.

That small goal removed a lot of pressure.

I focused on:

• Creating a homepage
• Learning basic components
• Understanding layouts
• Deploying the project

One step at a time.

• Constantly changing ideas
• Spending too much time on tutorials
