AI Tools Contribution to E-commerce for an Enhanced Customer Experience

Artificial intelligence (AI) is the capacity of a computer or robot under computer control to carry out operations typically performed by intelligent beings (Copeland, 2024). Therefore, AI tools are software programs that carry out tasks and solve issues using AI. Three AI tools that enhance the e-commerce experience are Syte.ai, Dynamic Yield by Mastercard and SoundHound AI. There are many others but these are the ones I will be discussing today.
Syte.ai offers user-friendly search and discovery experiences for all kinds of shoppers using visual AI (Syte.ai, n.d.). Some of the ways in which Syte.ai enhance the ecommerce experience for customers is through enhanced search experience and visual recommendations.
For enhance search experience, the search process is easier, and there is an enhancement of efficiency. This is further outlined below:
• Easy Search Process - When using traditional text-based search techniques, users must enter specific keywords or phrases, which can be difficult for clients who aren't sure how to articulate what they're looking for. Without the requirement for exact keywords, consumers can upload an image or snap a photo of a product they like using Syte.ai’s visual search feature. To entice consumers to act and finish their purchases, these alerts may contain tailored promotions, discounts, or reminders regarding abandoned carts.

Businesses can improve engagement, increase customer purchases, and forge closer bonds with their customers by customizing the page’s content and layout to the distinct tastes and behaviours of mobile users.
For SoundHound AI, with the use of its independent voice AI platform, it allows businesses to better control and govern their brand's customer experience by connecting customers with brands through personalized conversational experiences that voice-enable goods, services, and apps (SoundHound AI, n.d.). Some of the ways in which SoundHound AI enhance the ecommerce experience for customers is through voice search and discovery, and hands-free shopping.
