I'm an indie maker, and I just shipped the biggest update my app has ever had — v1.5.0, built during a focused week of heads-down work.
I build Tesla Wrap Gallery (teslawrap.io) — a free online gallery and designer for Tesla Paint Shop wraps. Quick clarification because it confuses everyone: these are digital wraps that show on your car's touchscreen and 3D vehicle display, not physical vinyl. Tesla's Paint Shop feature lets owners load custom Tesla wrap images onto the car via the Tesla app or a USB stick.
Why I built it
Designers making custom Tesla wraps today mostly wrestle with Photoshop or generic design tools: manually mapping artwork onto Tesla's UV templates, fixing seams by hand, guessing export settings, then finding out the car silently rejects the file. Generic AI image generators aren't much better — they get the orientation wrong, happily paint patterns across the windows and headlights (non-paint areas), and every fix costs you another five rounds of prompting.
So I built a purpose-built Tesla wrap generator instead. The v1.5.0 update does the thing I'm proudest of: one-click AI generation where the orientation comes out correct and the seams don't leak, by construction — because it generates directly against the Paint Shop UV spec instead of hoping a generic model gets lucky.
The toolbox around it:
- 6,000+ free Tesla wrap designs, searchable by Model 3, Model Y and Cybertruck — no account required
- A browser-based 2D/3D studio with live preview — no Photoshop, nothing to install
- A big built-in sticker template library, plus import-your-own and one-click AI stickers
- A dedicated editor for people who want to design a Tesla wrap from scratch
- An export checker that validates resolution (512–1024px), file size (under 1MB) and UV template/model match before you bother walking to the car
Try it
It's free to browse and download, no signup. There's also an iOS app, Tes Wraps - AI 3D Design, on the App Store.
If you've fought with UV seams or AI orientation fails on a custom Tesla wrap before, I'd love to hear about it.
