after two years gitlab closed the repositories again without any notice! :(

WHY?

Because they're hoping either:

  • Someone in the Iranian government will be annoyed and stop doing things America doesn't like
  • All the developers in Iran will lobby/protest/riot against the government which will make the government stop doing things America doesn't like
