I am a beginner with dev.to. As one of my current interest is IoT is was wondering if I just missed a tag for it. If it is not there, do you think it's worth adding one?

It's not straightforward to get to, but if you open a post with the "IoT" tag then click the tag in the post, you are directed to dev.to/t/iot which allows you to follow the tag 😁
OK, now I see it. Thanks :) And do you know why such tag wasn't listed upon resigstration where I am able to pick which tags to follow?
I believe any tags that have ever been used can be found using the method of going through a post > clicking a tag, allowing users to create their own tags. I've seen some posts from the Dev team announcing "official tags".
I'm guessing the list of options on registration is either official tags or the list of Popular tags from the left hand navigation (on desktop). I'm not sure how the popular tags list is curated, although Dev is open source - so you can poke around to find out if you want.
