Hi everyone! ๐
I'm Maruf, a web developer from Meherpur, Bangladesh. Over the past year, I've been building a personal project called MARUF-X-HUB โ a collection of 11+ free web tools that anyone can use without signup, ads, or payment.
I wanted to share my journey, the tech stack, and the tools I built in case it helps other developers.
๐ Live site: web.maruf-x-hub.page.gd
๐ฏ Why I Built This
Most free web tools today have:
- โ Require signup
- โ Have usage limits
- โ Track your data
- โ Slow loading
I wanted to create something different โ fast, free, and privacy-friendly tools that work for everyone. So I started building small utilities, and one thing led to another.
๐ ๏ธ The Tools I Built
Here's a quick rundown of every tool currently available:
๐ฅ All Video Downloader
Download videos from YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram. Just paste the URL and it works.
๐ AI Image Generator
Generate images from text prompts using AI. No login required.
๐ BD SIM Info Checker
Get detailed information about any Bangladeshi SIM number โ operator, region, and more.
๐บ Live TV Streaming
Stream live TV channels directly in your browser.
๐๏ธ Font Changer
Convert normal text into stylish Unicode fonts (useful for social media bios and posts).
๐ Age Calculator
Calculate exact age in years, months, days, hours, and minutes.
๐ต Premium Music Hub
A curated collection of Bengali music for free listening.
๐ค Messenger GoatBot
An open-source Messenger chatbot built with Node.js and Mirai FCA. Fork it and deploy your own.
๐ป Cyber Shell Terminal
An interactive terminal with 60+ commands, built in vanilla JavaScript. It even has a virtual file system.
๐ฎ Game Zone
HTML5 mini-games including Quiz, Snake, Neon Rider, and Puzzle.
๐ IP TV API
A custom API for fetching IP TV streams.
๐งฐ Tech Stack
I kept things simple and fast:
- Frontend: Vanilla JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
- Backend: Node.js, Express.js
- Bots: Node.js, GoatBot, Mirai FCA
- Automation: Python, Flask
- Hosting: Cloudflare (Pages + Cache)
- Data: JSON, REST APIs
No frameworks โ I wanted full control over performance and bundle size.
๐จ Design Decisions
Some choices I made early on:
1. Particle background
Instead of a static background, I added an animated particle system. It gives a "tech" feel without slowing the site.
2. Multi-theme system
Users can switch between 10 themes: Cyan, Green, Purple, Amber, Light, Crimson, Ocean, Sunset, Pink, Emerald.
3. Bilingual support
The site supports English and Bengali. Users can toggle between them anytime.
4. Progressive Web App (PWA)
The site works as a PWA โ installable on mobile like a native app.
5. AI-friendly
All my structured data (JSON-LD) is set up so AI assistants like ChatGPT and Claude can properly understand and cite the site.
๐ Performance
The site loads fast because:
- โ Preloaded critical assets
- โ Deferred JavaScript
- โ WebP images
- โ Lazy-loaded AdSense
- โ Cloudflare CDN cache
- โ Async CSS for fonts
Current PageSpeed score: 70-80 on mobile (still improving).
๐ค The Bot Repository
One of my favorite projects is Maruf-bot โ an open-source Messenger GoatBot built with Node.js and Mirai FCA.
Features:
- Auto-reply system
- Command handling
- Facebook appstate integration
- Easy deployment (Replit, VPS, Render)
You can fork it and deploy your own Messenger bot in about 15 minutes. The repository includes a complete setup guide.
๐ก What I Learned
Building 11+ tools taught me a few things:
1. Users hate complexity.
Every extra click loses users. So I stripped everything down to the essentials.
2. Free is not a marketing strategy โ it's a value.
If you genuinely help people, they'll come back. And they'll tell others.
3. Ship fast, iterate faster.
Don't wait for perfection. Launch, get feedback, improve.
4. SEO is technical.
Meta tags, JSON-LD, sitemaps, robots.txt โ these matter. A lot.
5. AI is changing discovery.
ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity are becoming traffic sources. Being AI-friendly is now as important as being Google-friendly.
๐ What's Next
I'm working on:
- More tools for Bangladeshi users
- Better AI integration
- A public API for developers
- More open-source bot projects
๐ Final Thoughts
If you're a developer thinking about building your own tools, just start. You don't need a huge team or fancy stack. Ship something small, fix it, ship again.
Feel free to explore the site and let me know what you think!
