I’m validating a small Windows desktop tool before spending time building it.
The idea is called Redline Local.
It would compare documents entirely on your PC:
- PDF ↔ PDF
- DOCX ↔ DOCX
- PDF ↔ DOCX
- side-by-side text differences
- exportable redline
- no uploads or cloud processing
The planned price is €39 one-time, with no subscription.
I’m mainly trying to answer two questions:
- Is the value proposition immediately clear?
- Would local/offline document comparison be useful enough to pay €39 once?
The product does not exist yet — this is deliberately a pre-launch validation test.

Feedback is very welcome, especially from anyone who regularly works with revised contracts, PDFs, Word documents, procurement files, or translation/review workflows.
