A New Day - A New Feature
This is Day 2 of Building Vendly in Public, and it was both hectic and amazing!
The MVP for Vendly is progressing much better than I expected.
Today I implemented JWT authentication and authorization, honestly, for the first time. Added store setup logic, Connected Database and made three commits to GitHub ; )
This is absolutely amazing!
Brain-Rot
Setting up Zod + React Hook Form was the most brain-rotting part this time. Much worse than last time. Not because I used it long ago, just because I new more than I knew that time.
Why Zod? It helps with TypeScript validation on client side and handles frontend state changes much efficiently.
This concludes today, but I'm way more interested about what comes tomorrow, CRUD operations in dashboards and User Profile setup.
What is Vendly?

Really nice progress for Day 2 👏
JWT auth + DB connection this early is a big step — many projects delay that and regret it later.
Totally relatable about Zod + React Hook Form 😄
Validation libraries always feel “simple” until real forms start growing.
I like that you’re focusing on core foundations first (auth, store setup, CRUD next) instead of polishing UI too early. That usually saves a lot of refactoring later.
Excited to see how the dashboard and user profiles turn out. Building in public like this builds trust fast. 🚀
Your words mean a lot, I'll post today's progress sooner.
