Event screens often need one thing: a big countdown that fills the display and does not depend on a server.
I built a small generator that produces a standalone HTML file:
- set event name and date/time
- preview it in the browser
- download a single HTML file
- open it on the event screen, offline
Try it: https://www.mengstone.com/countdown/
What it is not
It is not a multi-screen stage timer with remote control. There is no sync, no backend, no accounts. If you need an operator to start/pause every screen, use a dedicated stage timer.
Why standalone HTML
A single file is easy to hand to a venue, put on a laptop, or keep as a backup when the network is bad. The countdown keeps working offline.
For a launch stream, a meetup, or a classroom, that is usually enough.
