I built a tool for the Burning Bridges trend As A Drake's fan

I’ve been seeing the “Burning Bridges” chandelier party scene all over my feed on X lately.

I’m also a Drake fan. “God’s Plan” was the song that got me into his music, so this trend caught my attention pretty quickly.

It gave me an idea for something to build: a small website where you could upload a selfie and get your own version of that scene.

That’s how Encorette started. BTW, I dont have much experience on coding. Just had some CS courses in college.

The idea is simple. One selfie goes in, and a 15-second video of the chandelier party scene comes out, generated from your real face. You don’t need to write a prompt or edit a video yourself.

You can choose 768p or 1080p, with sound on or off. Generation takes around 7–8 minutes, and you can leave the page while it runs. The finished MP4 will be in My Videos.

Since this is DEV, a little about the build: it’s Next.js with OpenNext on Cloudflare, with a separate Worker and Queues for the video jobs, R2 for storage, Postgres for the database, and fal for generation.

The parts that needed care were the less exciting ones: letting a job finish after someone closes the tab, making sure duplicate payment webhooks don’t add credits twice, and returning credits when generation fails.

I wanted the actual experience to stay straightforward, so the site focuses on this one scene.
