Redesigned My college's Old Website to New Modern and Fresh Look....

Hello Dev.to Family πŸ‘‹
My name is Moeed ul Hassan, a developer from Gujrat, Pakistan. For this year’s Dev.to Frontend Challenge, I didn’t just build a random template. I decided to solve a real-world problem β€” by redesigning the outdated website of my own college, Zamindar College (University of Gujrat).

🎯 The Problem:
The previous college website was:

Outdated and visually dull πŸ•ΈοΈ

Non-responsive on mobile πŸ“±

Hard to navigate for both students and faculty 🧩

Slow and bulky ⏳

I saw this as an opportunity to do something meaningful. So instead of just coding, I tried to create impact.

πŸ’‘ The Redesign – What I Built:
βœ… Fully responsive layout
βœ… Modern design with smooth transitions and animations
βœ… Student-focused UX – quick access to important links
βœ… Optimized for performance – works even on low-end devices
βœ… Built-in dark mode πŸŒ‘

πŸ› οΈ Tech Stack:
HTML + Tailwind CSS for UI

Vanilla JS for interactivity

Figma for layout planning

Hosted on GitHub Pages

πŸ’₯ The Real-World Impact:
This redesign is more than a portfolio piece β€” it’s a contribution to my community of students who deserve a better digital experience every day.

"Frontend isn’t about fancy gradients β€” it’s about fixing broken experiences."

🧠 Final Thoughts:
If you're a developer looking for a project idea β€” look around you. Real problems are everywhere. You don’t need permission to fix things.

Thanks for reading.
