Planning and Defining a project is crucial to it's success.
Sometimes you have the idea for a project and you just go with it but it is easy to get lost and not see the global picture. I have abandoned some personal projects as they were too poorly designed and made no sense.
Before starting a project even personal I write down in my notebook or Trello the goal, the business model if any, the key features.
I then make a roadmap with minimum required for poc, for alpha, for beta, for release.
Hi Médéric, thanks for sharing your experience. I believe we all have been through this situation. Defining the goal and especially noting it down makes a lot of difference.
I certainly remember the projects I worked without the roadmap.
