This new chat experience lives directly inside your IDE and is built for one purpose:
to help you think through your code without losing your flow.
It’s not a generic AI chat window.
It’s a context-aware companion that understands your coding session, your recent actions, and the reasoning you’ve been building up.
Here’s what it does:
Contextual coding questions — ask about the code you’re working on without switching tools
Session-aware reasoning — the chat remembers your coding path and decisions
Local-first privacy — nothing leaves your machine unless you choose to connect an LLM
Optional AI connectors — plug in Claude, GPT, Gemini, or others if you want deeper assistance
It’s designed to feel like a natural extension of your workflow — not a distraction.
