How to get a tech job

So if you are a computer science graduate and you are searching for a job, this is what you should do:

  • First prepare yourself on important CS subjects like data structures, algorithms, operating systems, databases, etc.
  • Try solving logical reasoning based questions since they may be asked in interviews.
  • Then practice solving coding problems.
  • Do some online coding courses.
  • Attend coding bootcamps or workshops.
  • Participate in some hackathons or coding competitions.
  • Learn tech stacks.
  • Build projects.
  • Write computer science research papers and try to get them published in reputed journals.
  • Try to do freelancing for clients who need tech services.
  • Apply for internships and gain great internship experience.
  • Prepare a killer resume which lists all the above things which you did.
  • Update your projects and other details on GitHub, LinkedIn and other sites.
  • Apply for tech jobs on LinkedIn and other sites.
  • Prepare for the interviews by brushing up on CS concepts, coding problems and logical reasoning questions.
