Hey DEV! A bit about me, what I build, and why I’m here

Hey everyone!!!

Figured it was time to put up a proper intro post instead of just lurking around threads.

I'm a Computer Science undergrad trying to navigate the messy reality between textbook theory and actually making things work in production. Here’s a quick snapshot of what I do and what I’m interested in:

Technical & What I’m Building

Lately, I’ve been fascinated by low-resource computing—specifically squeezing machine learning onto tiny devices (Edge AI / TinyML) and exploring federated learning architectures.

My go-to languages are Python and C, along with Java when dealing with OOP fundamentals. I like building small utility scripts, experimenting with local models, and just figuring out what breaks when hardware is pushed to its limits.

How I Approach Coding & Debugging

I’m definitely not the kind of developer who writes bug-free code on the first run (pretty sure nobody is).

A big part of my learning process is spending quality time inside stack traces, terminal logs, and Git merge conflicts until things finally click. I prefer understanding why something failed at a low level rather than just copying a fix and praying it doesn't break again.

Team & Project Management

Outside of writing code, I really enjoy the coordination side of tech. Whether it’s organizing campus tech events, setting up workshops, or running hackathon sprints, I tend to naturally lean into:

  • Keeping tasks clean and unblocked so nobody is waiting around.
  • Translating messy ideas into clear, actionable steps for the group.
  • Making sure communication stays straightforward and ego-free during deadlines.

Tech is fun, but building things with a reliable, well-synced team is where the real momentum happens.

Why DEV?

I’m here to document my builds in public—including the experiments that go wrong—learn from post-mortems shared by experienced engineers, and connect with people working across systems, embedded tech, and open source.

Always happy to chat about projects, campus initiatives, or tech in general. Drop a hello in the comments!
