Introducing FOCUS, Chrome Extension To Help You Focus!

Are you stuck doomscrolling? Trapped in Shorts or TikTok? Fear not — with Focus, you can take back control and actually… focus.

so I was procrastinating and trapped in YT of all places, a sudden burst of regret gets me cause I haven't done much, so I decided to end this sickening cycle (at least part of it), I begun working, and after an afternoon of coding here it is the result:

Focus is a free, open source chrome extension that allows you to focus (as the name suggests), by letting you blocking web-sites that distract you like Youtube shorts, X, instagram and etc. The Concept is as simple as adding your dopamine websites in a book mark labeled as, and your good resources in other one. good resources what !? well you can add the long awaited list of articles that you always wanted to read here so next time, you lost yourself to the temptation of a tick-tock you will be faced with that ai paper that you always wanted to read but OBVIOSLY were too busy to actually read it!

What Can It Do In Short?

  • Automatically redirects from distracting websites (e.g. TikTok, Instagram, Shorts)
  • Hides YouTube Shorts and other addictive sections
  • Redirects you to a random productive website instead
  • Lets you customize which sites to block or promote via bookmarks
  • Toggle On/Off from popup
  • Respects your flow — minimal and framework-free
  • Uses Tokiyo theme.

Wanna help me and join me on focusing more?

The repository is public and the extension is written in JS & html, css, so no framework shenanigans!
Feel free to send pull request and giving it a star maybe!?
