In the wake of a viral controversy involving a foreign man accused on social media of exploiting relationships with multiple local women in Ghana, Nigerian tech entrepreneur and writer Asaaju Peter has spoken out strongly, describing the situation as both troubling and damaging to the image of African women globally.
According to Asaaju Peter, the issue goes beyond one individual’s behavior and highlights a deeper social challenge affecting many young women across parts of Africa. He stressed that assuming every foreign man represents wealth, stability, or a pathway out of hardship is a dangerous mindset that exposes women to manipulation and public embarrassment.
He explained that nationality or skin color should never be mistaken for character, intelligence, or financial strength. In his view, real progress comes from personal development, education, and wise decision-making rather than trusting strangers based on perceived foreign status.
