Why sarkari form photo limits are so strict
Government portals run on modest infrastructure and store millions of applications, so they cap uploads hard:
- SSC photo size: usually 20KB–50KB JPEG, 3.5cm x 4.5cm
- SSC signature: 10KB–20KB JPEG
- UPSC signature 20KB and photo 20KB–300KB depending on the exam notification
- IBPS / RRB: photo 20KB–50KB, signature 10KB–20KB
- Common dimensions: photo 200x230 px, signature 140x60 px

Resize photo to 20KB without uploading it anywhere
Most "free image compressor" sites upload your passport photo and ID scans to their servers. For a job application containing your face and signature, that is a bad trade.
