What is Git? For beginners

Git is a 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 𝗦𝗼𝗳𝘁𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 that keeps track of every modification to the code/file over time.

Git allows you to create branches of your 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗚𝗶𝘁?

Git is a 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 𝗦𝗼𝗳𝘁𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 that keeps track of every modification to the code/file over time.

Git allows you to create branches of your main file.
$ 𝚐𝚒𝚝 𝚋𝚛𝚊𝚗𝚌𝚑 𝚗𝚎𝚠𝙱𝚛𝚊𝚗𝚌𝚑
$ 𝚐𝚒𝚝 𝚌𝚑𝚎𝚌𝚔𝚘𝚞𝚝 𝚗𝚎𝚠𝙱𝚛𝚊𝚗𝚌𝚑

This way you move to the new branch and you can edit or try any new feature without the fear of loosing the previous stable version.
