My post Coding as a hobby? For me, non-work coding is a regimen, like going to the gym has been updated from version 1.1 to 1.2.
The new version is shorter, snappier and more to the point. The older versions can be found on GitHub (see the commit history).
Rewriting posts is like refactoring code. You get better at writing by rewriting, and the end result is better and more useful to others.
I also like to version my writing. With dead tree books, you need to print a new edition. With the Web, you just edit and publish the update! The version numbers and Github history help tell a better narrative about how the piece has evolved.
