Somewhere in Bangalore right now there's a driveway with nothing in it. A basement slot that sits empty from nine to six. A space someone pays for and never uses.
And three streets away, a driver is circling the same block for the fourth time.
ParkEase puts those two people together. Yesterday I showed you the ledger underneath. Today, the part that matters: what it's like to be the owner.
Five things you can do (the whole video is under thirty seconds)
1. List your space in five quick steps.
Where it is, what it's called, how many cars and bikes fit, your price, when it's available. Submit, and your listing waits for approval before it goes live.
2. Set your own price.
Per hour, per slot, separately for cars and for two-wheelers. Your spot, your number.
3. Check drivers in with one scan.
When a driver arrives they show a QR code. You scan it, and your phone confirms who it is, their vehicle number and their booked time. No paper, no guessing, no "I booked, I promise."
4. See every booking, line by line.
Every booking shows three lines: the price, the ParkEase fee, and exactly what you earned. No mystery deductions. (Yesterday's post is the story of why that line is harder to get right than it looks.)
5. Watch it add up.
Today's earnings, this week's, with a chart that fills in as the week goes.
That's the whole owner app today. It's small on purpose.
What I'm not telling you yet
Everything above happens on the owner's phone. The other half of ParkEase is a driver looking at a map of free spots nearby.
For a while, on the web build, that map was empty. No error on screen. Every test green. Just a blank box where Bangalore should be. And when the map finally came back, every parking spot on it was piled into the top-left corner.
Tomorrow: we cross to the other side of the gate. The driver's map: why it was blank, and the single CSS animation that stacked twenty-one parking spots in one corner. Follow the series. Launch is closer than you think.
ParkEase is a peer-to-peer parking marketplace for India, launching soon on Android.
