What Cosine actually announced On 8 June 2026, at London Tech Week, British startup Cosine unveiled Lumen Sovereign — what it calls Britain's first fully sovereign frontier AI model, trained from scratch on domestic infrastructure and designed to run entirely inside a customer's own environment with no external data transfer. Cosine is a three-year-old, Y Combinator-backed team founded in 2022 by Alistair Pullen, Yang Li and Sam Stenner, previously best known for Genie, its autonomous coding agent.
