Building ClearPay EU — Transparent payments for regulated European businesses.

The Problem

EU and Swiss regulated companies—asset managers, law firms, and fintech startups—need payment processing with data sovereignty guarantees, but local alternatives like Wallee force you through opaque, paper-based onboarding with arbitrary industry rejections and zero transparency. You waste weeks jumping through hoops only to get a vague rejection letter with no recourse.

What I'm Thinking of Building

ClearPay EU is a payment gateway built for regulated industries. We publish our acceptance criteria upfront so you know if you qualify before applying. Onboard in under 10 minutes with no forms or scanning—just API integration. All data stays in EU data centers, and you get human support within 1 hour. We're powered by Stripe's infrastructure but wrapped in transparency and speed.

Who It's For

Founders and finance ops leaders at B2B SaaS, fintech, law firms, and asset managers in DACH, Nordics, and Benelux regions with €100k–10M ARR who need EU data residency and hate vendor opacity.

Key Features (Planned)

  • Published acceptance criteria upfront—know if you qualify before applying
  • One-click onboarding in under 10 minutes, no forms or scanning required
  • All customer data stays in EU data centers with GDPR compliance
  • Human support response within 1 hour during business hours
  • Transparent per-transaction pricing (2.2% + €0.30) or flat monthly fee starting at €99

I'm validating this idea before writing a single line of code. If this resonates with you, I'd love your feedback:

If a payment processor published exactly which industries and business types they'd accept before you applied, and let you onboard in 10 minutes with zero paperwork, would you switch from your current provider?
