We called ElevenLabs eleven_v3 313 times between 2026-10-03 and 2026-10-12, all from one job, the text-to-speech step for our kids episodes. None of the 313 failed.
The cost was $0.00236 per call, $0.738 for the ten days. For comparison, the Stability stable-image-core calls we made in the same period ran at $0.03 each, 218 calls for $6.54.
The median call took 1.5 seconds. The slowest took 11.2 seconds, about seven and a half times the median.
The record does not say why the slow call was slow.
This is one job on one workload, so it says nothing about how ElevenLabs behaves for anyone else, or outside these ten days.
Size a text-to-speech timeout from the slowest call you have seen, not the median: ours was 1.5 seconds typical and 11.2 seconds at worst.
