Now, let's discuss what's included and excluded in a Coursera Plus...and whether is it worth investing.
What's Included in Coursera Plus:
Coursera Plus gives you access to a massive catalog of top-rated courses, professional certificates, and specializations — created by some of the world’s most trusted universities and industry leaders.
Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll find inside:
*🏢 Leading Companies:
*
Learn directly from global innovators like Google, Meta, IBM, Microsoft, AWS, Salesforce, Cisco, SAP, Adobe, HubSpot, Codio, Simplilearn, Edureka, Whizlabs, and many others. These are the same names shaping the future of tech, business, and digital transformation — and you can learn straight from their experts.
*🎓 Renowned Universities:
*
You’ll also get access to courses from prestigious institutions such as Yale University, University of London, University of Michigan, Duke University, University of Pennsylvania, University of Toronto, Arizona State University, and the University of California system (Irvine, Davis, San Diego, etc.).
Even leading schools like Oxford’s Saïd Business School, Cambridge University, IIM Ahmedabad, O.P. Jindal Global University, and the National University of Singapore are part of the mix.
In short — if your desired course or certificate is from any of these organizations, it’s most likely covered under Coursera Plus. That means unlimited access to thousands of high-quality learning programs for one flat annual fee — making it one of the best-value subscriptions for lifelong learners and career upskillers alike.
Now, let's discuss...
What’s Not Included in Coursera Plus:
While Coursera Plus covers most of the platform’s catalog, there are still a few programs that sit outside the subscription.
Here’s what you won’t get access to under Coursera Plus:
*🎓 Degree Programs:
*
All bachelor’s and master’s degrees offered on Coursera require separate enrollment and payment. These are full academic programs, so they’re not part of the Plus plan.
*📘 MasterTrack® & University Certificates
*
Graduate-level MasterTrack® Certificates and certain university-issued certificates that can count toward a degree are excluded from Coursera Plus. You’ll need to pay for those individually.
*🏢 Some Professional Certificates & Specializations
*
A handful of top providers keep their programs outside Coursera Plus. These include:
DeepLearning.AI, Stanford University, Princeton University, Rice University, University of Virginia, Utrecht University, Yad Vashem (some courses), Infosec, ISC2, IBM–ISC2, and Goldman Sachs.
If you’re planning to take any course or specialization from these providers, you’ll have to purchase them separately — they’re not part of the Coursera Plus annual plan (even during the sale).
Is Coursera Plus Worth It (with the Current 40% Off)?
Absolutely — now’s the best time to grab Coursera Plus. With the 40% off annual deal (up to 43% in India), you get unlimited access to thousands of top courses and certificates from world-class universities and companies — all for less than the cost of a few single courses.
It’s even more valuable now because Coursera has removed the free audit option, and financial aid isn’t available for every course or country. So, if you’re serious about upskilling or career growth, this deal is your most cost-effective and flexible way to learn year-round.
Once this sale ends, prices go back to normal — so don’t miss it if you’ve been waiting to invest in your learning journey.
The discount links (based on your region) are shared in the beginning of this article. That's my affiliate link. Thank you for your support :)
