The Dark Side of AI/AGI

If you had taken five years to the past, you wouldn't have imagined AI would make such progress as it has made today.

AI's progress in the next 5 years cannot truly be imagined today; we can only imagine.

I don't follow Elon Musk's prediction verbatim. I believe, in one way or another, humanity will end up building a technology that achieves Belphegor's Prime.

That is to say, we will reach a place of human ingenuity beyond which we can go no further (contextually considering). AGI or ASI will take over from humans in almost all areas of reasoning and problem-solving (According to Nick Bostrom, AI will become an Oracle & Genie).

Nvidia has recently successfully built a digital twin of the earth (expected to be a model for solving issues such as the Climate crisis, etc.); whether it is accurate is beside the point. The point is that we are quickly reaching the limit of what humans can achieve regarding working tools.

We are now turning the power of our ingenuity over to machines. Imagine when Quantum Computing, Nanotechnology & other emerging technologies reach their ultimate thresholds; humanity will have reached a Singularity that touches even Pierre Teilhard de Chardin's greatest fantasy —The Omega Point.

Does humanity have an ultimate destiny?
Is AI part of the narrative that will lead humanity to its eschatological destiny?

Is Alien Intelligence involved in all of this?

Note: It is not my intention to sound like a doomsday prophet, but the times have woven a web of uncertainty, and I must navigate carefully and wonder aloud.

In any case, I would be happy to hear your thoughts on the post above.

I don't fear technology. I fear humanity's baser instincts, and their influence in how newer technologies will be used.

Sorry to say I don't see any enlightened individuals out there that are mature, and trustworthy enough to provide the leadership which will apply these new technologies in a way that is likely to benefit humanity, that is all humanity, not just the chosen few.

True, nothing could be further from the truth, I know Elon Musk might be after his selfish interest but his warning is critical at this point, mankind is at the precipice of its power and how we handle what is to come in regards to AI is important.

More nations are building more advanced AI in secret and no one seems to care what happens next after it all goes kabook on us all.

Thanks for your deep insight.
