Adaptability Is the Real Moat

The tool you're proud of today
has an expiry date.

So does the framework,
the language,
the specific trick
that makes you feel valuable right now.

Bet your whole worth
on any one of them
and you're standing
on a melting floor.

The people who last
aren't the ones
who mastered the current thing.
They're the ones who got good
at learning the next thing,
again and again,
without panic.

Adaptability is the moat.
Not this skill —
the ability to keep acquiring skills
faster than they expire.

That's the one thing
no tool obsoletes,
because it's the thing
that absorbs every tool
that shows up.

Learn the current stack.
But fall in love
with getting good at new things.

That's the edge
that survives the churn.
